Othur is a product of Column, and access to Othur’s services requires a Column account. By registering an account, users agree to provide accurate and complete information, including their full name, email address, mobile number, date of birth, location, region, and country. The provision of gender information is optional. By accessing or using Othur’s services, users acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as well as any modifications or updates that may be introduced from time to time at Othur’s sole discretion.
Monetization & Transactions
Othur offers various paid services, which may include in-app purchases, premium features, and subscription-based models. Users who choose to access paid features acknowledge that they are responsible for maintaining valid payment methods and agree to comply with the applicable terms regarding pricing, renewal, cancellation, and refunds. Othur reserves the right to modify pricing, introduce new services, or discontinue any feature at its discretion, with reasonable notice where required by law.
Publisher Relationships
Othur aggregates news content in accordance with applicable fair use principles. At present, Othur does not enter into formal licensing agreements with publishers; however, the platform retains the right to engage in such agreements in the future. Where licensing agreements are established, the terms governing content usage, attribution, and compensation will be explicitly outlined in individual contracts between Othur and the respective publishers.A. Othur may enter into licensing agreements with publishers. Publishers who enter such agreements may request content removal, subject to the terms outlined in their contracts.
B. Publisher Rights & Obligations
Publishers must adhere to the agreed terms regarding content distribution, attribution, and usage. Othur ensures that all content partnerships comply with applicable intellectual property laws and industry best practices.
User-Generated Content (UGC)
Othur enables users to interact with content by commenting, saving, sharing, and submitting their own contributions. By submitting content, users grant Othur a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display such content for marketing, promotional, or other business purposes, with or without prior notice. Users do not have the ability to opt out of this usage. Othur reserves the right to remove or restrict access to any content that violates these terms or is deemed inappropriate at its sole discretion.
Intellectual Property (IP)
Othur curates both full articles and summary snippets, depending on agreements with content publishers. All intellectual property rights of original content remain with the respective publishers, while Othur retains rights over its proprietary technology, design, and platform infrastructure.

Account Termination & Moderation
Othur retains full discretion to suspend, restrict, or terminate user accounts or publisher access in cases of misconduct, violation of these Terms and Conditions, or any activity that is harmful to the platform.
